Troubleshooting: no icon in URL bar

    I dont get the icon in the URL bar.
    I am using Windows XP home edition, Firefox 2.0.0.14, and zotero 1.0.3.

    Things I've already tried:
    - visiting different sites (amazon, NY times, library of congress,...)
    - deinstalling and reinstalling zotero
    - deinstalling and reinstalling firefox
    - restarting computer
    - checking database integrity
    - resetting translators and styles
    - deactivating other firefox add-ons I'm using

    I have already successfully imported my bibliographic data from endnote. Tagging, snapshotting, attaching files etc... works perfectly well, but I DON'T GET THE ICON!
    Can anyone help me?

    Can you link to a screenshot of your browser window on the Amazon item page? Based on that console output, the icon should most definitely be showing.

    Just to be sure, did you restart Firefox after disabling all other add-ons? In addition, you could try what happens if you create a new profile:

    Thanks for your advice! I created a new profile and there it worked :-))).
    However, after having installed the del.icio.us add-on on this profile (from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3615), the icon was gone again :-(
    Any suggestions how I can use both del.icio.us and zotero on the same profile (I see that obviously most users seem to be able to do so without any problems...)?

    Are you sure it was the del.icio.us extension? Zotero works fine for me after installing that extension.

    Does uninstalling the del.icio.us extension in the old and new profiles fix the problem?

    Just another datapoint: I use the del.icio.us extension in even more browsers (on various platforms and versions (of firefox and related extensions)) than zotero. It hasn't been a problem for me.

    youre right, it was not the del.icio.us but rather the youlicit extension which caused the problem. without that, and after restartig firefox, it works on both accounts :)

    The problem here is that Youlicit is reinitializing the toolbar after every page load (presumably to update its icons), which is erasing the Zotero icon. You might want to contact the Youlicit folks and ask them if there's another way they can do this.
