First off, this is amazing. I am literally stunned by how useful this program is.
I am a particle physics grad student. I get most of my papers from SPIRES and ARXIV. i'd like to second the calls i've heard already in the forum for eprint codes to be generated by the SPIRES translator.
Also I heard that a fix to better control bibtex keys on export was coming out in the next version, with a real fix coming in 1.5. I was wondering if there was a time frame on this and also if this would include a way to generate the spires default bibkeys on export.
I appear to be having a problem with the Arxiv translator that makes the eprint number appear as the 'pulication' info and the journal reference appear as the 'extra' info. Whereas is seems to me it should be the other way. I guess i think the best solution to this from my perspective we be to export the variable 'eprint' in the bibtex entry. I guess this would require a more robust eprint import scheme from spires and arxiv, but I suppose that since the numbers are very standardized (hep-xx/.... or the new form) it may be possible to simply sort the fields during the export.
I am willing to use a post zotero processor, and I will try that next. I would really rather use nothing but zotero. If it had more choices on the bibtex export (like not exporting the Abstract variable for example, because I look at my bibtex entries in emacs and it really clutters) and controlling the bibtex keys, and it also had the "copy \cite{BibTexKey} to clipboard" command that jabref has, I would definitely get rid of everything else and be a much happier and less stressed person to boot!
