    Hi

    I've just discovered Zotero -- it is very wonderful!

    The developer documentation points to a framework for developing customised bibliography export formats (exported via "create bibliography for selected item"). But is it possible to extend the actual catalogue export formats ("export selected item")? Let's say I want to export to a MODS record, but I want to export the Extra field as well (or preferably add another XML element with a different namespace). How feasible is this?

    My use-case isn't typical -- it involves creating a database of examples of new language usage found online. So I'm trying to find a way of exporting an XML catalogue entry for the web page containing the term to capture its biblio info (Zotero does a wonderful job of this). But I also need somewhere to put a short textual extract of the online source and I'd need to export that as well.

    How easily could this be done if at all?

    This seems generally useful & I'd support the default exporter including this (perhaps as another note (type=source note?)) anyway.

    However, someone would need to modify the code for the current exporter (in scrapers.sql).
    But I also need somewhere to put a short textual extract of the online source and I'd need to export that as well.
    Zotero can already export attached notes in the MODS record & perhaps those would be a good place to put your excerpts for now?
