TLC/YouSeeMore Translation

Anyone have difficulty with importing TLC/YouSeeMore data? I have not been able to import for quite a while, yet I do not see any discussion on this.

I went to the YouSeeMore/TLC web site at http://www.youseemore.com/elibrary/example.html and chose the first example: http://www.youseemore.com/adams/

From the its main page I searched for Hemingway. (The URL in the address bar does not look helpful, but it was http://webcat.adamslibrary.org/TLCScripts/interpac.dll?Search).

Zotero correctly notes that there are many possible books (about 30). But selecting some of them for multiple capture of information results in the "Could not save item" error.

If I choose any single item so that it is a page with only one item on it, (such as http://webcat.adamslibrary.org/TLCScripts/interpac.dll?LabelDisplay&LastResult=Search&Config=youseemore&FormId=-1310&Branch=,0,&LimitsId=0&StartIndex=0&SearchField=7&SearchType=1&SearchData=Hemingway&NotAddToHistory=1&ItemsPerPage=30&SortField=0&PeriodLimit=-1&SearchAvailableOnly=0&DataNumber=11572&RecordNumber=11572&SearchAvailableOnly=0&FormId=-1310&ItemField=1&Config=youseemore&Branch=,0,), I still get the "could not save error."

Update:
I ran across Yukon College (http://www.youseemore.com/yukoncollege/) that uses TLC/YouSeeMore. On their main page they have a link called "Try this catalogue link if using Zotero" (http://yclibw.yukoncollege.yk.ca/TLCScripts/interpac.dll?SearchForm&Directions=1&Config=pac&Branch=0).

After clicking on the link, it is a slightly different search interface. But search results CAN be imported into Zotero. What I do not know is how to access this technique on other TLC/YouSeeMore sites.

Please go here and save the file to the translators directory of your Zotero data directory (http://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data).

All TLC installations should start working again. If this works for you, please post here so that I can submit this change to be pushed to all users.

Thanks for pointing out the Yukon College site-- it reminded me that the breakage here was caused by a very superficial change in TLC.

Thank you. That seems to have done the trick. I will now pass the word on to others.

I have demoed Zotero several times to students, but hated to have to say "It works great, except at our own library."

I went ahead and committed this to the Zotero repository. It should be in the next release of Zotero 2.1, if Dan doesn't push it to existing clients before then.
