Wiley InterScience translator and UPPERCASE

Could the Wiley InterScience translator change both author names and titles to sentence case on import? Currently authors, titles and short titles are often imported in uppercase.
Example:

The translator currently uses the RIS data provided by Wiley, and the RIS importer does not attempt to make such changes to imported data.

OK, so can the RIS importer be modified to change uppercase author names, titles and short titles to sentence case please?

I think making the RIS import conform to the general (hidden) preferences would be great, yes - this has come up before for a different site.

It's been over a year and this hugely irritating and widely encountered bug has still not been addressed. The Wiley translator still provides all the data in uppercase, at least for some large number items, e.g.:

...and there's STILL no Zotero right click option switch author names into title case when they appear in uppercase. This should be a trivial enhancement.

PLEASE devs. - give us a right click option to switch the case in the author fields to Title case - or make it happen automatically with EVERY translator, including the RIS one. Thanks!

Wiley is no longer using RIS, but I've fixed the author issue:
Please go to http://github.com/ajlyon/translators/raw/master/Wiley Online Library.js and save the file to the translators directory of your Zotero data directory (http://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data).

It should start working again. If this works for you, please post here so that I can submit this change to be pushed to all users.

The new translator seems to be broken. I tried it at:

The existing one works here (aside from the capitalized author names and failure to attach the PDF).

Try installing from Github again-- the version I posted had some bits that might not work on Zotero 2.1.8. I've corrected it and pushed the new version.

Your latest version does get the authors right, presenting them in title case. But it still fails to grab the PDF for any link I've tried.
It also grabs titles and short titles in upercase when they are presented as such on the site (try the links up the thread).

If you visit a page like http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/j.1088-4963.2009.01154.x/pdf , are you sent directly to the PDF, or is there a page that comes up before the PDF? If you see the PDF, is it in a frame?

I'm having trouble finding a Wiley journal that UCLA subscribes to at first blush, so I'm having trouble identifying the PDF issue. I know that PDF attachments worked when I first wrote this version of the translator last fall.

The capitalization issue is fixed now-- you can install again from the link above.

That link opens a new tab with the text pasted below, and the PDF starts downloading automatically. (By the way, I find it hard to believe that UCLA doesn't subscribe to Philosophy & Public Affairs electronically despite its budget troubles - it's THE top political philosophy journal, and UCLA has some of the world's top political philosophers!)

I've updated the translator to get past that interstitial page and grab the actual PDF. Try installing again from Github.

And apparently something was up with my VPN -- UCLA does have access to these journals. False alarm.

Just a minor niggle:
Are the attachment labels still supposed to be "Wiley Full Text PDF" by default, even though this has proven to be a wildly unpopular option with your users:

It would be much better if I didn't have to click the down arrow to view the attachment, then right click the attachment and click "Rename File from Parent Metadata" every time I add a reference. That process adds an extra two clicks to every source adding task.

The attachment labels are following convention. I don't know if there is a straightforward way for translators to tap into the "rename from metadata" routine and use it for the attachment name.

Also, I suppose I'm in the camp that sees these names as quite reasonable-- I don't need the PDF's name to just repeat the parent item's data, since I know what the parent is already.

Actually, you're quite right! You've just made me realise was only in the habit of doing renames because I thought the filename was still set to be the same as the attachment label. Whoops! (OTOH, there are probably thousands of users similarly confused by this behaviour. Could you maybe change the confusing "Rename File..." option in Zotero to "Relabel attachment..." or similar?)

Anyway, as I said, your translator is working wonderfully now.

Well, "Rename File..." does rename the file—it's just that files saved via translators have already been renamed.

Hi ajlyon, your fix to the Wiley Online Library translator is working great, but here's another minor issue: some journals print an asterisk or superscripted number at the end of the article title, and add a footnote. The translator is saving this asterisk or number as part of the article title, e.g.:
