Add Item is not highlighted in list; must search to annote

I have a fairly large Zotero library. In version 1, when I added a new item (in whatever way), Zotero highlighted it in the middle pane, so that I could work on tags, related, notes, etc. Now, I add a new item, and have to go look for it to do all that.
