Hi there,
I am writing under request of the journal editor, Nigel Gilbert. The Journal of Artificial Societies and Social Simulation (JASSS), in http://jasss.soc.surrey.ac.uk is not correctly imported to Zotero current version (2.0rc2), with major issues.
It is an Open Access electronic journal, so all the articles can be accessed freely to understand its pattern. For instance, let's pick http://jasss.soc.surrey.ac.uk/13/1/10.html in order to explain the problems found.
The icon to import appears normally, but when clicking on it this is what happens:
* The Item Type is "Webpage" instead of journal article (in fact, the icon in the Firefox URL bar is not article type but webpage type).
* The list of authors (Stuart Rossiter, Jason Noble and Keith R.W. Bell) are imported as one single author (name: Stuart Rossiter; last name: Jason Noble and Keith R.W. Bell)
* As it is a webpage, no publication (JASSS), volume (13) or issue number (1) are imported
* The abstract is imported but as additional note
* The rest of the data is imported successfully.
However, we believe JASSS normalised layout could be easily imported into Zotero, and we would be ready to provide any additional information needed in order to facilitate such task. -

there is no Zotero translator for the journal. The translator used is "Embedded RDF" i.e. a translator that reads the metadata provided by the site - that could be fixed on the publisher's side, here are instructions on how to help Zotero read your site's data:
http://www.zotero.org/support/make%20your%20site%20zotero%20ready
if you are not willing or able to do so, you will have to find someone to write a dedicated translator for the site. There is a huge list of requests for translators out there so I'd say that chances that someone from Zotero itself will take this up is small, but obviously if a user or someone from the journal writes a translator, developers will be happy to include it in Zotero.
